Retirement Plan Administrator
Job Description
Networks Connect is seeking a Retirement Plan Administrator that will work remotely. Our client a small Third Party Administrator and Actuarial Consulting firm is seeking a Retirement Plan Support Administrator to join their team in a full-time capacity. The position will be responsible for managing a caseload of 401(k) and Profit Sharing plans and will be required to perform all fundamental tasks necessary for plan administration. The position will have a support team member assigned to assist with the administration duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and provide support to plan contacts
- Manage workflow and deadlines for block of assigned plans
- Prepare Annual Valuation Reports
- Prepare Forms 5500 and 8955-SSA
- Perform Trust accounting / asset reconciliation
- Collect and analyze employee census information
- Prepare data gathering packages to initiate client/plan servicing cycle
- Review, understand and apply plan specifications
- Determine plan eligibility and vesting
- Perform statutory testing (Nondiscrimination, coverage and top-heavy)
- Prepare contribution calculations, including cross-tested formulas
- Prepare annual Safe Harbor Notices
- Import, export and manipulate financial data from various recordkeepers
- Manage and review workflow for support team member
- Provide oversight and communications related to plan distributions and loans
Skill Requirements
- 3+ years experience in Defined Contribution Administration
- ASPPA designations preferred, but not required
- Datair Pension System experience preferred, but not required
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
