Networks Connect is hiring for a Orthopedic Surgery Medical Coder position on behalf of a client located in Gulf Coast of Florida. To be qualified for this position you will have had at least three (3) years of Surgery Coding experience and prior Orthopedics billing experience. In this position, you will work under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager, overseeing the orthopedic surgical coding, claim submission, claim denial follow-up, educating physicians and working with surgery schedulers on coding matters.

Earnings

50,000 - 62,000 salary

Duties

• Review medical record information to identify all appropriate coding
• Verify and ensure accuracy, completeness, specificity, and appropriateness of diagnosis codes based on physician notes & dictation
• Code all surgeries and hospital consults
• Provide quarterly chart audits for E&M coding
• Follow coding conventions and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Act as a resource to staff and physicians for billing and coding guidance

Requirements

• Have one or more of the following certifications, CPC, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA
• Prior Orthopedic Surgery medical coding experience
• Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Ability to work remote after initial training (approximately 90 days)
