Director, Pathway to Excellence & Magnet Program
Job Description
Networks Connect Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced and visionary Director, Pathway to Excellence & Magnet Program to lead our client’s journey toward achieving and sustaining ANCC Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® designations. This pivotal role drives the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing excellence programs across our health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ANCC Designation Efforts: Oversee application, designation, and re-designation for Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® programs
- Strategic Planning: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with ANCC requirements and nursing strategic goals
- Data & Documentation: Manage the collection and analysis of nursing quality data and Sources of Evidence for ANCC submission
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with nursing leadership, frontline staff, physicians, and external partners to promote nursing excellence
- Professional Development: Mentor nurse leaders, organize educational programs, and facilitate staff development aligned with ANCC standards
- Quality & Compliance: Monitor nurse-sensitive indicators and promote best practices that meet regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Research & Innovation: Collaborate with Research & EBP Coordinator to foster a culture of inquiry and nursing research
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred
- Current RN license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
- Professional certification in a nursing specialty preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing, including roles in program management, project leadership, or clinical education
- At least 3 years of leadership at the manager/director level or equivalent education
- Direct involvement in Magnet® or Pathway to Excellence® designation preferred
- Exceptional writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong critical thinking and change management abilities
Compensation: $104,000 – 130,000 annually
