Location: Naples, Florida | Department: Nursing Administration | Employment Type: Full-Time

Networks Connect is looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing to provide strategic and operational leadership for one or more nursing units. This is a vital leadership opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to direct clinical practice, ensure patient-centered care, manage nursing resources, and cultivate a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee 24/7 operations and clinical excellence of assigned nursing unit(s)
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care that aligns with hospital standards
  • Manage human, financial, and material resources, including budget development and cost control
  • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of nursing professionals
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., TJC, ACHA, OSHA, CDC)
  • Develop policies, procedures, and standards of care to promote nursing best practices
  • Actively participate in hospital-wide planning and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a visible patient and staff advocate, resolving issues and promoting a culture of accountability
  • Champion a professional practice model and shared governance that fosters autonomy and growth

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Active RN license in the State of Florida
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
    • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit specialty
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of RN experience required
    • 3+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic planning, communication, and leadership skills
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, staffing, and quality outcomes
    • Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical & Emotional Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and walk at least 1 mile per day
  • Capable of working under stress, managing conflict, and making rapid decisions
  • Requires high emotional intelligence and critical thinking
