Coding Analyst
Job Description
Networks Connect is seeking a Coding Analyst that will work a hybrid position.
Position requirements:
- Coding certificate required
- Minimum 1 year experience in data entry
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in billing and/ or coding department
- Advance knowledge and understanding of Excel and Word
Education, Vocational Training, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous experience in documentation/ coding/ billing/reimbursement data analysis and advanced computer skills
- Experience in a clinical and administrative health care organization as it relates to appropriate CPT/ICD coding and billing
- Knowledge of varied structures of health care delivery systems, workers compensation insurance, and managed care systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with others and proceed with objectives without supervision
Primary Position Responsibilities Provided on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Basis:
- Communicate professionally. This can be exchanged in person, writing, telephone, and email
- Maintain positive client relations. Ability to understand the client’s needs.
- Communicate with the client missing data needed to complete the analysis while continuing to follow-up.
- Analyze information provided by client. Demonstrate independent decision-making capabilities combined with strong creative problem solving.
- Keep up to date with trends and changes in the coding arena. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of key responsibilities.
- Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, review and/or verify information or data.
- Utilize work environment tools. Seek input from team members. Attend seminars, webinars and etc.
- Assist in creating standardized tools and methodology to assist clients with documentation and coding efforts.
- Able to look for solutions from outside usual thinking patterns.
- Able to adjust workload considering client’s changing needs. Willing to explore innovative approaches or alternative recommendations.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work/projects accordingly. Effectively be able to manage working on more than on project at a time.
- Ensure a consistent workflow despite interruptions.
- Consistently be able to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Ensure work is of highest quality. Review work product to ensure RDs/Trainers has conclusive reports to coach/ train providers and staff.
Earnings
$50,000 - $70,000 salary
