We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Territory Sales Manager to represent leading manufacturers within the power utility and telecommunications industries. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and driving sales growth throughout the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to distributors, contractors, engineering firms, utilities, and end users by delivering product expertise, technical support, and strategic solutions. This position requires a highly organized sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building long-term partnerships, and is comfortable managing a large regional territory with significant travel.

Duties

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across utility and telecommunications markets
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors, contractors, engineering firms, and end users
  • Conduct in-person customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations throughout the territory
  • Provide technical product support and training to customers and channel partners
  • Promote new product launches and manufacturer solutions within the assigned market
  • Monitor market activity, competitor trends, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline updates, and forecasting within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with manufacturer partners and internal teams to support customer needs and strategic initiatives
  • Utilize digital tools, networking, and social platforms to generate leads and expand market presence
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of outside B2B sales experience, preferably within utility, telecom, electrical, industrial, or manufacturer representative environments
  • Demonstrated success managing the full sales cycle and developing long-term customer relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory effectively
  • Experience working with distributors, contractors, or engineering firms is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Must reside within or near the assigned territory

Travel Requirements

  • Regional travel required up to 70–80% within the assigned territory
  • Overnight travel may be required based on customer meetings, trade shows, and territory coverage

License / Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional sales experience
