Registered Nurse (RN) – Primary Care Triage
Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support primary care triage operations in a large, established practice on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends or holidays
Job Type
Duties
- Manage triage pool messages and medication refill requests
- Conduct patient triage calls to assess symptoms and provide guidance
- Assist with patient documentation and paperwork
- Support walk-in patients with acute symptoms
- Perform in-office nurse visits
- Coordinate care and prioritize patient needs efficiently
- Complete additional clinical duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including remote/phone triage
- Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in nursing care
- Excellent communication and patient coordination skills
- Ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ambulatory care or outpatient nursing experience
- Experience with primary care triage workflows
- Familiarity with clinical equipment, procedures, and patient care protocols
Work Environment

License / Certification
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA required)
- Additional advanced life support certifications may be required based on department
