Job Description

We are partnering with a growing manufacturer’s representative organization specializing in broadband, telecommunications, utility, and infrastructure solutions. They partner with industry-leading manufacturers to support market expansion through technical expertise, relationship-driven sales, and strategic territory development.

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager to support continued growth throughout the Northeast region. This role is ideal for a sales professional who excels in technical selling, specification influence, and long-term account development within complex infrastructure markets.

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence throughout the assigned Northeast territory. This individual will work closely with distributors, engineering firms, contractors, consultants, and end users to develop business opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.

In addition to territory development, this role will mentor and support territory sales representatives to improve sales performance, customer engagement, and overall market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess strong consultative selling skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage long sales cycles in highly competitive markets.

Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share across the assigned territory
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within telecommunications, utility, and infrastructure markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, engineering firms, consultants, and end users
  • Influence product specifications and support manufacturer growth initiatives throughout the region
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for long-term partnership development
  • Mentor and coach territory sales representatives to improve sales effectiveness and customer engagement
  • Conduct in-person and virtual customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Provide technical support, product education, and hands-on training to customers and channel partners
  • Support new product launches and communicate key value propositions to stakeholders
  • Represent manufacturers and product lines at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and customer records within CRM systems
  • Generate territory sales reports and track key performance metrics
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support strategic planning
  • Utilize digital tools and social media platforms to assist with lead generation and regional brand visibility

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably within telecommunications, broadband, utility, or infrastructure industries
  • Strong understanding of manufacturer representative sales models, distribution channels, and engineering-driven sales environments
  • Proven success developing new business opportunities and managing extended sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of independently managing a multi-state territory
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Travel Requirements

  • Candidates must reside within the assigned Northeast territory
  • Regional travel is required up to 80%, including customer visits, distributor meetings, project site visits, and industry events

License / Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
