Networks Connect is hiring a detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our Client’s dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in healthcare registration, front desk operations, and patient-facing services to play a vital role in ensuring smooth access to care. You’ll interact with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
This position reports to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager and supports various hospital departments including Emergency, Radiology, Laboratory, and other ancillary services. Candidates must be flexible and capable of floating between departments as needed.
Earnings
$20-22 hourly

Duties
- Uphold patient safety, data accuracy, and departmental policies
- Maintain real-time registration quality reviews
- Obtain and file photo ID and insurance documents
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper documentation of patient rights
- Manage office supply inventory and support clerical functions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk/reception area
- Monitor and respond to patient portal requests (appointment, email, fax)
- Answer phone inquiries promptly and resolve patient concerns efficiently
- Ensure all required billing documentation is complete prior to service
- Maintain compliance with department cash control procedures
- Collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances, issue receipts accordingly
- Collaborate with financial counselors as needed for payment arrangements
- Communicate financial responsibilities to patients and families in a professional manner
- Ensure pre-authorization and referrals are secured before scheduled services
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility using online portals
- Reschedule missed appointments and assist with follow-up scheduling
- Process bedside registrations for emergency patients
- Update insurance and demographic data; ensure alignment with billing and coding standards
- Schedule appointments using appropriate healthcare scheduling systems
- Complete accurate and courteous patient registrations, both in person and via phone
Requirements
- Completion of Patient Access training with competency assessments
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 2 years in healthcare registration, patient access, or related administrative support
- Typing Speed: 35+ WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of healthcare registration systems and insurance procedures
