Job Summary
A licensed Physical Therapist is needed to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services within a collaborative clinical environment. This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized care plans, implementing therapeutic treatments, and tracking progress. The ideal candidate is committed to patient-centered care and clinical excellence across diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Evaluation & Assessment
•Perform initial and follow-up evaluations based on patient condition, age, and cultural background
•Identify physical impairments and functional limitations
•Develop and update care plans with measurable, goal-oriented outcomes
Treatment Implementation
•Deliver customized therapy interventions using manual therapy, exercise, and specialized techniques
•Adjust treatment strategies based on patient response and clinical judgment
•Delegate and supervise appropriate care tasks within the therapy team
Patient & Team Education
•Educate patients, families, and staff on care plans, progress, and precautions
•Communicate patient status to other healthcare professionals in a timely, professional manner
•Contribute to staff training and development through formal and informal education
Documentation & Record Keeping
•Complete thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
•Conduct chart audits and ensure medical records meet compliance standards
•Provide detailed handoff notes for continuity of care
Clinical & Operational Support
•Maintain a clean, well-organized treatment area and therapy materials
•Monitor and reorder supplies as needed
•Schedule and manage patient appointments and ensure compliance with insurance authorizations
Professional Growth
•Meet licensure and continuing education requirements
•Stay informed about clinical advancements, specialty certifications, and treatment techniques
•Pursue development in specialty areas such as orthopedics, neurology, vestibular therapy, or sports rehab
Qualifications
•Master’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy
•Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
•Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
•New graduates welcome; prior clinical experience is a plus
Physical & Emotional Requirements
•Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently
•Perform repetitive movements including walking, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods
•Manage stress in high-pressure situations
•Work independently and effectively handle emotionally sensitive interactions
