Technical Sales/Project Estimator
Job Description
Networks Connect is working on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer’s representative in the HVAC space, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Sales / Project Estimator to support our inside and outside sales teams.
This role is vital in the preparation and coordination of project bids, equipment takeoffs, and pricing proposals. You’ll play a critical role in helping drive sales by ensuring accurate and timely quoting of HVAC and mechanical equipment solutions for construction projects.
Earnings
$70,000 salary

Duties
- Conduct detailed takeoffs from mechanical plans and specifications to support construction project bids.
- Utilize computer-based selection tools to determine appropriate HVAC or mechanical equipment.
- Input and configure product details using CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software tools.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any discrepancies in construction documents or project scopes.
- Prepare detailed and competitive project proposals aligned with company pricing strategies and format standards.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities
- Ensure the accuracy of all sales support documentation and assist with order entry as needed.
- Effectively manage shifting bid deadlines and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ideal candidates include individuals with a strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn, as well as seasoned professionals with extensive experience in commercial HVAC project estimating or technical sales is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Experience with CPQ software and HVAC equipment selection tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and initiative.
License / Certification
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, HVAC Design, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred, not required.
