Job Description
Networks Connect is conduction a search for a Same Day Surgery Lead Coder that will work remotely. Networks Connect is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Coding and Data Integrity Coordinator to support and lead outpatient surgical coding operations for out client within a large, dynamic healthcare environment. This role is ideal for coding professionals with a strong background in workflow optimization, leadership, and compliance, particularly those who hold the Certified Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) credential. This role combines data-driven decision-making, team coordination, and technical precision to ensure the highest standards in coding and documentation integrity.

Duties
- Coordinate daily functions for the medical coding team to meet operational targets.
- Monitor production, optimize workflows, and implement improvements to boost accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide coverage and coding support when needed to maintain turnaround times.
- Train and mentor new and current staff in system functionality and policy adherence.
- Develop and maintain training materials and assist with department-wide education initiatives.
- Analyze coding accuracy through regular reporting and work queue reviews.
- Collaborate with leadership to meet coding dashboard goals and quality assurance metrics.
- Resolve complex coding issues and escalate concerns to management as needed.
- Serve as a key resource for performance appraisals and team development.
- Act as liaison between coding and other departments for coordinated issue resolution.
- Adhere to all institutional and departmental policies including HIPAA compliance.
- Prepare statistical productivity reports and support audits with comprehensive documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in Health Information Management (HIM), coding operations, and demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong analytical thinking and critical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in medical coding software and Microsoft Office tools.
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and support coding staff.
