Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Registered Nurse (RN) Safety & Quality Coordinator to lead performance improvement initiatives across Emergency Services and Sepsis Management programs. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping clinical outcomes, driving regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of patient safety and high reliability.

Duties
- Oversee safety and quality initiatives related to Emergency Department (ED) services and Sepsis management
- Collect, abstract, and analyze clinical data related to CMS Sepsis Core Measures, trauma registry, and ED quality metrics
- Coordinate and facilitate Sepsis Committee meetings, including agendas and documentation
- Support EMR improvement and dashboard development for quality tracking
- Create, deliver, and document provider and staff education on Sepsis protocols and emergency quality standards
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma and PDSA cycles for rapid-cycle performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate and timely trauma data entry in compliance with the Florida Department of Health standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and operational leaders to ensure safe, efficient care delivery and evidence-based outcomes
- Generate data reports and participate in strategic planning and improvement activities tied to emergency care
- Stay current on evolving Sepsis management guidelines and emergency safety regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in emergency or trauma nursing (strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of electronic medical records, quality metrics, and compliance documentation
- Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive clinical data with professionalism
- Experience in quality data analysis, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of trauma registry systems and hospital quality reporting platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical analytics dashboards

License / Certification
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Florida
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related graduate degree preferred
- Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or completion of IHI quality training (required within 2 years of hire)
