Research RN – Clinical Trials & Acute Care Support
Job Description
Networks Connect is conducting a search on behalf of our client for a skilled and collaborative Research Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing team supporting clinical trials across inpatient and outpatient care environments. As a Research RN, you’ll help bring innovative therapies to life through safe, protocol-driven research activities conducted in collaboration with physicians, sponsors, and clinical teams.
This role is ideal for RNs with critical care or cardiology experience, a passion for research, and the ability to thrive in diverse, fast-paced clinical settings such as ED, Cath Lab, ICU, OR, and ambulatory sites.
Earnings
$32 - $43 hourly

Duties
- Step into direct clinical care duties related to research, offering RN guidance to interdisciplinary staff
- Serve as a representative of the research institute to sponsors, families, and hospital personnel
- Support protocol compliance across the care team by educating referring physicians and caregivers
- Actively participate in sponsor meetings, internal research initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration
- Partner with sponsor auditors/monitors to ensure high-quality, audit-ready data integrity
- Maintain study drug/device inventory logs, adverse event reports, and patient visit documentation
- Coordinate study follow-ups, re-consenting, and scheduling of procedures per study protocol
- Collect and document clinical data with precision and in compliance with GCP and IRB/FDA regulations
- Support patient screening, enrollment, education, and retention across various study protocols
- Act as the primary clinical resource on research trials conducted in acute and ambulatory settings
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based EMR systems
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability in varied clinical areas
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in clinical research, GCP, IRB, or FDA-regulated study environments (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in critical care or cardiology

License / Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA (required)
