We are looking to add talented Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to our team. We have full-time and part-time opportunities available in the area for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who desires to work in a physician office. You are a qualified candidate for this position if you have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

About the job

Reporting to the Research Manager, the medical assistant provides a high level of service in performing administrative and clinical responsibilities. The position supports both clinical and research functions.

Salary: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients, obtaining and ensuring completed paperwork, confirming all information needed for medical records are in place
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments with a high level of customer service orientation
  • Preparing patients for physical examinations, including taking and recording vital signs and performing all required testing
  • Performing ancillary testing and tasks including but not limited to PFT, EKG, audiograms, blood draws, etc., and as certified
  • Processing/shipping research lab samples according to research laboratory and clinical protocols
  • Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready
  • Providing assistance as needed during examinations and treatment
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information, using discretion and securely managing information
  • Additional responsibilities assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of Maryland
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment
  • Fluent in use of electronic medical records
  • 1 + year of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • An orientation towards love and rigor: a good sense of humor, kindness, care for others, and the ability to get things done.

License / Certification
