We are looking to add talented Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to our team. We have full-time, part-time and PRN opportunities available in the area for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who desires to work in a clinic. You are a qualified candidate for this position if you have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant with experience as a Phlebotomist.
Salary: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the gathering of information during the clinical process under supervision of Registered Nurses
- Assists all nurses with performing activities commensurate with his/her education and demonstrated competencies
- Consult with and is responsible to RN's and other staff as appropriate
- Implements clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Collect specimens according to established procedures. This includes, but not limited to: drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams
- Processing specimens including: labeling, centrifuging, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order
- Participates in gathering information on patient history
- Verifies medications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA and ADA
- Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures
- Basic math, accurate data collection and data entry skills
License / Certification
- Completion of Medical Assistant Certificate Program or Associates Degree from accredited MA program
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registration (RMA)
- AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification preferred
